The training of Dai

It started as a fine day, then it poured, Dai, soon to be a Pyromancer and warrior of the Gilded, was a mere child... for now. Talvarin was talking to Dai when he shoved him outside and locked the door, Dai a child cried and walked at random down the path.

"Stupid..." He sobbed.

A hand grabbed his shoulder he turned around to see a head set on fire and almost like a skull, the "man" if you'd call him that stared into Dai's ice blue eyes. Dai tried to scream but his throat was dry with fear as he saw the hilt of a sword coming towards his head. Xan had found him

Xan, mad Pyromancer stared at Dai, he seemed to be learning the art of fire fast however Xan had one last test for him before he became a proper Pyromancer.

"Dai," Dai looked up, his Ice blue eyes shined from the fire from Xan's head "I need you to infiltrate the Aquamancer and retrieve some war palns base on the island Zeroheat"
"Alright..." Dai said"Although I don't have a weapon to do it." It was a well known fact that Pyromancers couldn't harm Aquamancers with fire, they'd just sizzle out before it reached home.
"Here," Xan handed Dai some robes with a flowing water trim and a blue hat to cover his face along with a sword stolen from the Dragonlords along with a sheath made from pure rubies,from a raid a few years ago"You'll need this stuff."

Dai had landed on the island of Zeroheat, the name fitted, it was freezing he walked up to the town named Hydroquatix, the place of the Aquamancer base he sifted uncomfortably he wasn't sure what would happen today, but he had a bad feeling about it.

"Oi!"yelled a Aquamancer about his age. "your late for the ceremony!"
"I.. umm.. oh great..." Dai studdered.
"Oh, your new to here arn't you?" the Aquamancer asked. "Here, I'll show you around, name's
Aqro, prince Aqro."
"Alright... I guess."Dai said calmly.

Prince Aqro lead him to the base, it was a small cavern, Dai thought but when they stepped through Dai felt like he was being sucked through a vortex and next thing he knew, he was in a room with windows looking out to the sea.

"Well, that's new." Dai thought to himself.

The Aquamancer saluted as Dai and Aqro passed, then, one of aquamancers noticed his face, his hat had came off while they went through the portal! the Aquamancer threw a blast of water at Dai, knocking him into a chair, Dai drew his sword and rolled out of the way of another blast of water, he impaled an aquamancer then turned around and jumped off the dead body, still standing, he dashed through the aquamancers slashing through them, <Insert theme song here> then he got hit in the back of something hard.

Dai woke surrounded by Aquamancers

"Hmph, this little kid put up a fight." he tried kicking him, which was a mistake, Dai bit him.
"OW! take him to the slavery!"

Xan sat, wondering what had happened to Dai, his best apprentice, was he alive or dead, healthy or sick and in poverty?

"What do I care?" he asked himself and shook his head, this was the first time he felt affection to another being in quite some time. "I'm getting too old for this stuff."

It had been three years since Xan had sent Dai on the mission, his robes where torn and turned red from blood of many whip strikes, his hair, once elegant, short and smooth, now long and matted with blood, his hat was lost in many battles against the guards, whenever there was a chance to get at a guard, he'd go for it he'd seen slave friends killed by the Aquamancers.

"Really wish they weren't Aquamancers..." Dai thought to himself

One of his friends that was alive currently was Cinder, an X-Pyromancer he had helped him gather the equipment for another sword, which was almost ready, he needed to find the hilt of a sword to wield to the blade, it was a sturdy Broadsword, made from many metals, giving it a rainbow effect Dai was trained specifically for the Dragonlord sword and Broadsword.

"Hmph," Cinder said "This a-blade is vary unique, Dai" Cinder had a bad way of putting things, for he had been a slave almost all his life, captured right after he had finished training with the Pyromancers.
"Too true, Cinder," Dai said carefully, Cinder was easily hurt. "although it would be nice to have some back-up"
Dai was talking about a Bow and Arrow set they had found in the useless pile (what the Aquamancers called garbage) it was a sturdy bow, good range though, Dai had tested it before.

"Oi, slaves, get back to work!" A guard bellowed at them, however this was no normal guard, this was the commander of the Aquamancer army, Zeaoz.
Dai and Cinder quickly hid their epuipment and said together, "Yessir." Dai hated Zeaoz, he hated his family, he hated his pussy cat (it had scratched him on one to many occasions as well, he thought, to make a nice pun in the future.) the reason, he was the one who found him and captured him, dragged him to the slavery and nearly killed him on more then one occasion.

Zeaoz looked at the two going to join the other slaves, he looked at the smaller of the two, Dai he looked at his eyes Zeaoz had seen something like them before... then all of a sudden like a fire starting, he remebered, "Vampires!" he muttered to himself and ran off to tell King Typhoonion

Dai was once again manning a dangerous position, the outside of the aquatic base, the outer steel needed cleaning, a guard had told him. "Ugh, why do I have to do all this stuff?" Dai thought to himself, he checked his air gauge, "I mean, it's an aquatic base, no-one's going to see it."

King Tyhoonion was pacing across his room, if there really was a Vampire among his slaves, then there'd be terror among his men, worse yet, if it was an Archangel, they would be here soon to find him... "Agh... I can't focus on that right now, I've got a city to invade..."

Dai had finished the out side of the base as he walked to the slave quarters he noticed there were two guards following him they looked uneasy, so he guessed something was up, then one plunged at Dai, spear held to impale, Dai was caught of guard the spear pinned his arm to a wall but Dai just kicked back at the guard, knocked him over and then pulled the spear out of his arm, and threw it at the other guard, going through the silts used to see while still protect by knights, the guard fell to his knees and fell sideways, the other guard looked at his comrade and ran back to King Typhoonion to report. "Hmph, might as well use this time to see if anyone's droped at sword hilt in the useless pile." Dai said to himself.

He was right, there was a sword hilt but there was something else that caught his eye, an egg, gold and covered in red stripes, he picked it up and headed back to the Slave quarters.

Cinder was there to greet him,he smiled and when he saw the
sword hilt his smile grew even wider but when he saw the egg his smile faded "Wassat, Dai?" he pointed at the egg, it seemed to glow and move. "Oh, nothing, Cinder..." Dai gave Cinder the hilt he put them on the wooden table each slave room had, then the egg broke, or thought Dai though, then there was a red eye peering through the crack...





End of chapter 3.

Dai stared at the egg, at first it appeared to be broken by a none-to-lightly touch, then it occurred to him.

'It's...' he started to think, only interrupted by Cinder, who seemed he had read his thoughts
"Hatching" he somehow said the right thing at the right moment, the egg burst open and an elegant Red and Golden bird soared overhead, only to swoop down and land on Dai head.

"Momma!" it seemed to chirp.

"Hey it's a Phoenix!" Dai shouted excitedly, Phoenixes where said to be well extinct.
"Indeed 'tis, Dai, A majestic one at that." Cinder stared at the bird in amazement.
"I think I'll name..." Dai looked at the bird. "him Rebirth, you like that name, boy?"
"Chrip!" Rebirth chirped happily

Dai looked at his sword hilt. "Time we freed ourselfs." He cast at fireball at the Hilt and the edge of the Claymore, it caught on fire then as the fire died out, the Claymore and the Hilt were binded, a proper Claymore in it's place. There was a knock on the door and another slave moved in his sleep, Dai and Cinder hurried into their rough beds, Rebirth dived under Dai small blanket to try and hide it's glow. It was Zeaoz. Dai noticed him move towards Cinder's bed and then raised his sword and plunged it into the bed.

"CINDER!" Dai screamed, even though it was dark, he could see blood slowly moving through the threads of the blanket.

Dai jump from his bed, his newly crafted sword at the ready, several slaves jumped to help Dai, also wanting revenge on the guard captian Dai Impaled him, piercing his Armour, Zeaoz looked up from the dead body he'd just slayed up to Dai, then he slammed him over and over again against the floor, beating his limp body and then eventually the body slid of the sword. Dai and the slaves, awakened by the ruckus of the "Battle" if you were to call it, that poured from the room, glad to be out of there and freed from the bind to the guard.

"C'mon, let's make for the exit!" Said one of the slaves, known as Diaes
"No, let's get the king for this..." Dai said.
There was a large cheering then a SMASH stopped them, Dai had slammed his hand on the wall
"Quiet, we don't want to wake the guards, now, let's make for the king, I and you all have a score to settle with him..."

They ran through the corridors, slaying any guard that tried to raise the alarm, apparently, Dai had woken them all with his "Silent slam." Diaes was armed with the bow and arrow Dai had found, the other slaves had the weapons from the guards they had slayed, they eventually made it to the throne room.

King Typhoonion stood up with a fright as all his slaves poured into the room, Dai slammed the door and barred it shut.

"King, stand up and fight, you coward I have more..." He noticed that Prince Aqro was with King Typhoonion
"On second thought, let me fight you two together, alone" He said as he noticed Diaes start to walk forward.
King Typhoon smirked. "Very well, Dai, let's see what you've got."
"B-but father...?" Aqro started but a solid glace from Dai stopped him
"Hmph, c'mon then, Tyhoophnion, Aqro, let's see what you've got."

Typhoonion charged at Dai, Aqro followed reluctantly Dai moved out of the way, Typhoonion had unsheathed his sword, as well as Aqro, now Dai hit Aqro in the back of the head with the Hilt of his sword, knocking him near-unconscious and onto the ground, Dai moved away as Typhoonion tried slashing at Dai, but tripped over his son , flying into a Slave while his son got up but Dai flung his sword through his throat and stuck him to the wall

"AQRO!" Typhoonion yelled
"Hmph, to easy, hopefully your better, Tyhoonion"
Typhoonion yelled the Aquamancer war-cry "THUUUUUUUUUNDEEEEEEEEER, RAIIIIIIIIN AND LIIIIIIIIIIGHTNIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Dai twisted his finger in his ear, the yell was defining then he noticed Typhoonion was charging, aiming for Dai, then his fangs unsheathed "What the HELL?" Dai asked, a few slaves mutered "Archangel!" Typhoonion stopped and stared, then noticed his son stuck to the wall by Dai's sword and continued charging, Dai's ice blue eyes changed into a deep crimson, his Archangel powers awakened. Dai jumped at Tyhpoonion, hanging onto his head, his fangs stuck to his neck, the dead body fell over, he got off, blood spraying onto a few slaves, he noticed the fear in their eyes, but continued attacking the limp body, lifting the neck and crushing it until the head came off and then picking it up this time by the arm, burned the body into ashes.

Dai looked around at the figures surrounding him, then noticing they were friends held up his arm, his blade retrieved from Aqro's body and in-hand then cheering broke.

The slaves yelled in unison "FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!"
Dai smiled, he had succeeded Rebirth landed on his shoulder
"A few more years and we can get off this putrid Island..."


The End, however, a new story shall be written about Dai meeting Dasthur, Katsuro and Exodius. tomorrow
